Frequently asked questions
Common questions about CT600 filing with Taxpipe.
What is a CT600?
A CT600 is the Corporation Tax return that every UK limited company must file with HMRC. It reports your company's taxable profits, Corporation Tax liability, and other financial details for an accounting period.
Who needs to file a CT600?
Every UK limited company registered with Companies House must file a CT600, even if the company made no profit or had no trading activity during the period.
What's happening to HMRC's free filing service?
HMRC is withdrawing its free online CT600 filing service on 31 March 2026. After that date, companies will need to use commercial software like Taxpipe to file their Corporation Tax return.
Is Taxpipe recognised by HMRC?
Yes. Taxpipe appears on HMRC's official list of recognised Corporation Tax software suppliers — recognised to produce and submit CT600 returns and iXBRL documents, and marked suitable for self-filers. You can verify this on GOV.UK. (HMRC lists recognised software but does not endorse or recommend any one product.)
What's included in the £59 price?
Everything you need: CT600 form generation, tax computation, micro-entity accounts (iXBRL), direct HMRC submission, and rejection fixes at no extra cost. There are no hidden fees or subscriptions.
Does Taxpipe file my accounts with Companies House?
Not yet. Taxpipe files your CT600 Corporation Tax return — including your iXBRL accounts — directly to HMRC. Filing annual accounts with Companies House is a separate obligation with its own, earlier deadline, and Taxpipe does not currently submit those to Companies House on your behalf. We're building a direct Companies House integration to add this. In the meantime, filing micro-entity accounts yourself is quick and free.

Do I need any tax knowledge to use Taxpipe?
No. Our guided wizard walks you through every step. You just need your company's income and expense figures, your Company Registration Number (CRN), and your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR).
What if HMRC rejects my return?
We'll show you exactly what needs fixing, help you correct it, and resubmit — all at no extra charge. You only pay once per return.
